By Car

We recommend our visitors to travel to Greenwich via public transport whenever possible. At weekends the popularity of our market makes the roads particularly busy.

If you do travel by car there are off-street pay-and-display car parks in Park Row, Burney Street (behind the Ibis Hotel) and Park Row (to the East of the Old Royal Naval College, a three minute walk away from the town centre).

  • From the north use M25, M11, A12, through the Blackwall Tunnel.
  • From the south use M25, A2 (a fast route straight to Greenwich).
  • From Channel ports or Channel Tunnel, use the M2/A2 or M20/A20 routes.
