Traders of Greenwich Marketthumbnailthumbnailthumbnailthumbnailthumbnailthumbnailthumbnailthumbnailthumbnailthumbnailthumbnailthumbnail

Becoming a trader at Greenwich is very simple:

  • Our market managers are available to meet potential new traders between 11—12 every Saturday and Sunday.
  • You cannot trade on the market unless you have met with our market managers and been invited back to trade.
  • You do not have to fill in an application form.

The Creative Priority System is applied to new traders as follows:

Trader meets with market managers on a Saturday or Sunday between 11—12 to discuss our market policy. If the managers are satisfied that the traders goods are not currently saturated (see note below for list), the trader will be invited to trade for a full day on either a weekend or weekday.

The goods, display and ambience created by the stall are vetted by the market manager who provides the trader with constructive criticism.

The manager grades the traders’ creative input into their stock, display and ambience and makes a decision based on their perception of those qualities to either:

  • a) Invite the trader to trade on the market as a casual stallholder
  • b) Invite the trader to trade on the market as a casual stallholder and award the trader with a priority card
  • c) Inform the trader that their stock / display / ambience is not of a sufficient quality to trade.
